LA Trip

Hi all! I spent a week in LA the last time I was off work and had a great time! I kinda just played things by ear (didn't have anything planned when I went) and was pleasantly surprised by how many things I found to check out :) Here are the highlights...

My first glimpse of the Beverly Hills sign... about a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I had butterflies!

The Farmers' Market at Third and Fairfax- really cool; it reminded me of Pike Place in Seattle

One of the places to eat at the Farmers' Market- and it was GOOD!

Chicken enchiladas with homemade chips, salsa, and guacamole- yummo!

Pictures from The Grove- a really cute open-air mall next to the Farmers' Market...

Another open-air mall in Hollywood...

The Chinese Theater in Hollywood

The Hollywood Sign!

Some of the highlights from The Walk Of Fame

Kat Von D's High Voltage Tattoo Shop- and yes, I saw her! And yes, I got new ink hehe...

My newest additions...

The historic Miracle Mile area (lots of museums and places of interest are here)

The Petersen Automotive Museum

Some of my favorites from the car museum

Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits

Definitely time well spent- I love this kinda stuff!! Pretty amazing...

Pics from my day at the Santa Monica Pier and beach- yay sunshine!

DT LA Third Street Promenade area- really nice open-air shopping area near the Pier

Interesting restaurant not too far from my hotel - off La Cienega Ave. Have I mentioned that I like garlic? I only wish that I had room for the chocolate mousse for dessert!!

Here's what the interior looked like- loved the decor...

Oh yeah- slow-cooked lamb, garlic mashed potatoes, and garlic creamed spinach... mmmm!

Gorgeous little house I was in love with lol

Yep- that is a Bugatti I saw parked on Rodeo Drive OMG!!!!!!!!

Sylvester Stallone's house- not too shabby...

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's house- soon to be the house of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Pitt

The Beckhams' House- NOTE: The Playboy Mansion is right across the street...

Julia Roberts' home- definitely fitting for Pretty Woman

As you can see, there was a lot to see in LA! I truly had a great time and would definitely like to go back someday to check out a few more places I didn't make it to. Cheers!
