Back To Rome

After a few lovely days by the water, it was time to head back to Rome for the last part of our trip. We packed our bags, headed to the harbour, and said arrivederci to Sorrento...

The view leaving the harbour

Our ferry ride took us back to Naples, where we decided to spend the day before catching the train back to Rome. We dropped off our bags at a bag check near the ferry terminal and started walking!

Statue in the Piazza del Plebiscito

Basilica of San Francesco di Paola

We decided on pizza for lunch; we wanted to
compare this place to the one we went to earlier!

Awards on the wall

Margherita pizza with mushrooms... Not quite as good as
Sorbillo's on our first night in Naples, but it was still an excellent pizza

We spent the next hour or so looking for souveniers

Espresso time! One of our cab drivers recommended
Gambrinus, so that is where we went. It is historic in Naples

The interior was busy, but stunning

We had a few spiked espressos, thanked the
bartender, and headed to collect our bags. Next stop: Rome

We were definitely tired by the time we made it to the B&B we had
booked for the evening, but we were determined to go for a walk before bed

Breathtaking view of St. Peters at night

We rallied enough energy to make it to a gelato stop, enjoyed
our treats on the way back to our room, showered, and hit the sheets!
