Journey To Naples

Rome was a fantastic place to start our honeymoon, but both Vince and I wanted to see a few other places as well. The next destination for our trip: Naples. We got up on Day 5, packed our bags, and headed to the train station :)

Getting ready to board

Pretty nice! I was impressed; the service was better than most flights!

We made it to Naples, hopped a cab,
and checked into the B&B I had booked

Nice communal breakfast area

The patio outside...

...complete with a view of Mt. Vesuvius

Our host made us some much-needed espresso and then it was time for Vince and I to get ready for our evening- a night at the opera (the oldest opera house in Italy nonetheless) and Neopolital pizza from the source :) We freshened up and started our walk to the opera house...

Castel Nuovo was on the way

Awesome!

The stage

The balconies- simply breathtaking

Orfeo Ed Euridice was a beautiful opera- complete with ballet. We left the theater in awe, hailed a cab, and headed to Sorbillo for pizza. It was packed and the wait was long, but it was definitely worth it!

Excellent house red wine

Margherita pizza- the classic

Mushroom pepperoni

Ahh. A walk was definitely needed after dinner, so we walked back to our hotel and enjoyed the warm summer air :)
