Maui Revisited- Spring Wedding In Paradise

My first trip to Maui last year was amazing; not only did I fall in love with the island's relaxed way of life, its beautiful scenery, and its small towns, but I got engaged in the process! Vince totally surprised me in the best of ways, and I couldn't have imagined his proposal being any more perfect than it was.

Flash forward a year and we were heading back- but this time to get married! We couldn't think of a better place to say our vows than Maui and we were looking forward to sharing our special day with our friends and family...

First order of business: rental car!

Second order of business: Maui Costco! The parking lot was INSANE,
but we finally managed to find a place to park... and then it was fun shopping
time! We grabbed a cart and proceeded to stock up on beer, wine, drinks, and
treats for our gift bags. It took some clever re-arranging, but we got it all to
fit in the back of the car- success!

It is a good thing we speed-shopped, because it started raining right after
we finished our Tetris-style loading. Awww- the first rainbow of the trip :)

Our reception shopping complete, we headed to our hotel to drop off
our gear and get organized. Such a treat! Our room had a gorgeous view

Have I mentioned how much I love Maui?!

Checking into our room was the last thing on our list of "to do's" for Day 1. It was time to relax! We freshened up and headed over to Monkeypod Kitchen for a light dinner and drinks with Vince's best man and his wife. It was a perfect ending to a busy (but exciting) day :D
